From October 31 to November 4, 2022, the 10th Huada School on QCD was held at the Institute of Particle Physics, College of Physical Science and Technology, Central China Normal University (CCNU). The school had seven invited lectures on the following topics:
• Experimental review: Zhenyu Chen (Shandong University)
• Heavy quarks & quarkonia: Min He (Nanjing University of Science and Technology)
• Hydrodynamics: Huichao Song (Peking University), Li Yan (Fudan University)
• Jet quenching: Shanshan Cao (Shandong University)
• Machine learning: Longgang Pang (Central China Normal University)
• Quantum kinetic theory: Shi Pu (University of Science and Technology of China)
To minimize the impact of the pandemic and enable participation by graduate students and researchers from more universities and research institutions across China, this school was held in a hybrid mode, both online and offline. Over 300 graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and scientists from many institutions, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and CCNU attended the school. The workshop was jointly organized by faculty members from CCNU’s School of Physics, including Hengtong Ding, Xiaofeng Luo, Yaxian Mao, Guangyou Qin, Yaping Wang, Hanzhong Zhang, and Benwei Zhang. It was supported by the Key Laboratory of Quark and Lepton Physics (Ministry of Education) and the International Joint Research Center for Quark Matter and Detection Technology.
It is worth noting that the Huada Workshop began in 2012 and has been held annually, with the exception of 2020 when it was canceled due to the pandemic. The primary purpose of the workshop is to provide fundamental training in topics such as strong interaction physics for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists in the fields of particle physics and nuclear physics.
